Under a cold sky
Our recent trip to Lake Jackson didn’t go as planned, but we still managed to have some fun, see a few birds, and shoot a few photos. As we were leaving for home on Sunday, we stopped by a small wildlife reserve just outside of town. This scene was captured there, along the banks of the Brazos River. I altered the white balance, so the colors are just a bit off, but did so intentionally. This represents how I felt at the time.
I’ll be off-line for a few days, as I tend to some medical issues, so if you leave comments, please don’t be offended if I don’t get to them right away.
In the meantime, enjoy the photo, and have a great day!

Nice shot with the sun coming through the trees. Looks very peaceful. Good luck with your medical issues and will be glad to see you back!

I hope you’re not dealing with anything too serious, Van. I’ll be thinking about you regardless – get well soon and post some more excellent pictures!

Thanks, Dave! I’m home again, and on the mend. And now I’m battery operated! I am the proud owner of an Implantable Cardiovertor Defibrillator, which should keep the old ticker ticking for a while longer.
