Fluidity
A couple of months ago, I was downtown trying out a new lens. But instead of my usual HDR style, I was shooting handheld. In the process I decided to play around a little, and try a few techniques I’d read about and seen. Among those was photographing an object in motion, by panning with a slow shutter speed. This technique imparts a feeling of motion, as it introduces some blur along the line of motion.
This image is of a kayaker, enjoying a day on the lake. And while certain elements of the image show focus, the general impression is of a blur. In this particular shot, the kayaker appears to almost merge into the background. Dropping the color and toning the image adds to this emphasize on motion and form.
Let me know what you think. Enjoy the photo, and have a great day!

Very abstract feeling to it. Really cool looking!

Sweeps the viewer along in the kayak, breeze in the face and whistling gently past the ears! And the glint of the lake water combines with the motion to feel like your sweeping gently through sunlit diamonds catching the rays as the craft glides ever onwards!
